Election News Desk reaches readers who follow politics closely — voters, policy professionals, campaign staff, journalists, and the engaged public. If your message belongs in front of that audience, we’d like to hear from you.
Who reads Election News Desk
Our readership skews toward people who follow elections and government closely: voters across the political spectrum, policy professionals, advocacy and nonprofit staff, academics, and journalists who use our work as a reference. Current audience metrics are available under NDA.
What we offer
- Display advertising — IAB-standard units across desktop, mobile, and tablet, including in-feed and high-impact formats
- Sponsored content — partner stories produced with our branded content team. All sponsored content is labeled clearly, with the partner named at the top. Sponsored content is never written by editorial staff.
- Newsletter sponsorships — placements in our daily briefing and election-cycle newsletters
- Custom campaigns — events, video, podcast integrations; we’ll build something that fits the brief
Political advertising
We accept advertising from candidates, parties, PACs, and ballot-measure committees, subject to the standards below:
- All political ads carry a clear “Paid for by” disclosure naming the funder
- We do not accept ads making demonstrably false factual claims about an opponent, an election, or voting procedures
- We do not accept ads designed to discourage or mislead voters about how, when, or where to vote
- We disclose all political ad buys in a public archive
What we don’t do
- Allow advertisers — political or commercial — to review or approve editorial coverage
- Run native or sponsored content without clear disclosure
- Accept ads we believe are misleading, fraudulent, or designed to suppress turnout
If your campaign would require any of the above, we are not the right partner.
Editorial firewall
Editorial and advertising operate independently. Advertisers cannot kill stories, change coverage, or guarantee favorable treatment. Editors and writers are not informed of advertiser concerns about ongoing coverage.
